Welcome to PDX TechCoffee
One commit a week is all we ask!
TechCoffee is like a knitting bee for programmers. We get together once a week and work on our side projects — the ones we all have but never get to spend time on.
Next Meeting
Season 6 has ended. Keep watching for Season 7 information! In the meantime, we’ll still be meeting at the Southeast Grind, Mondays at 6:30am.
Newcomers and short-timers welcome. Just plan on being at least a little bit productive.
General Questions
- When do we meet?
6:30am on Mondays. We put meetings up on Calagator. We’re also on twitter!
- Where do we meet?
Season 6 is meeting at Southeast Grind, at SE Powell and SE 13th.
- Are we the only gig in town?
Just the coolest. Other weekly coding meetups include pdxhackathon, North Portland Coders’ Night, and its Southeast counterpart, SEPoCoNi.
- I want to come, but it’s soooo faaaar…
You have a few options: first, wait until the next Season (and make sure to let us know where would be better); second, head to your local coffee shop, but join us on the TechCoffee IRC channel (dependent on connectivity, of course); finally, join us on IRC, but in your PJs (on the internet, nobody can tell).
TechCoffee was started by Jason and John (mostly Jason) in Chicago, a few years back. John moved to Portland a little while back, and started it back up again. He can be emailed at his first name @ phaedrusdeinus.org.
